Purchasing a home is an exciting step that we’re honoured to share with you. To make sure your new home is everything you had hoped for, we have a rigorous quality-control process that puts you in control.
Prior to occupancy of your new home, you’ll be invited to meet at your home/suite for a Pre-Delivery Orientation of your home. This orientation will give you the opportunity to tour your home and learn about all the exciting features, review homeowner maintenance, confirm all upgrades have been completed, and discuss the warranty process. Upon the conclusion of this orientation, you will receive a copy of the inspection report along with a CCP (Certificate of Completion and Possession) which is required for closing and all future warranty submissions.
The next opportunity to submit a warranty request would be the 30-day milestone from the date of your occupancy. This opportunity allows you to submit any new items in which you may have discovered during the use of your home and any items remaining from the original orientation list. Please keep in mind, any damages not noted on the original inspection will not be covered under the statutory warranty. Please refer to the Tarion HIP package for further details on items which would be considered warranted including any mechanical or electrical issues you may encounter.
As we approach the one-year anniversary of your home you will have another opportunity to submit a warranty request within 30-day of the anniversary date. It is important to note that as a gesture of customer service, the builder will address some shrinkage issues occurred because of normal drying out process throughout the year. Drywall cracks, nail pops and corner beads will be patched only – sand and paint will be at the responsibility of the homeowner. Further information on this offer will be provided to you by your on-site customer service representative.
Please feel free to reach out to us anytime during your homebuying process. We are here to assist you and answer any questions you may have regarding your new purchase and all the processes along the way.
